Treat the seat as a different option, not a comfort ranking
The original Lady Trail has a much larger owner history with both comfortable-use and firm-seat accounts. Supreme feedback includes enthusiasm for the narrow twist but also an expectation that the thicker cushion would feel softer. Neither a model name nor foam thickness settles that contradiction.
Both models have a high listed cantle. The original’s owner record includes a rider who struggled to clear it and another who did not. Try mounting and seated movement in the actual size rather than transferring either person’s outcome.
Package and weight claims need matching scopes
The original Lady Trail has conflicting published weight figures, while the Supreme listing gives approximately 23 lb. A buyer of the original specifically notes the extra lift after adding tack. Compare both with the cinch and straps you will use.
When the problem is the whole trail setup
If your complaint extends beyond the quilted seat, investigate the Fabtron Easy Rider 7172/7174 as a separate trail-equipment and handling choice. Owners describe easy lifting and comfortable pleasure rides, but there are also missing-keeper, stirrup-comfort and delivery-workmanship complaints. One buyer found protruding underside staples. Have defects assessed and resolved before use; do not copy that buyer’s own repairs.
